How to Export Video from UniFi Protect

Export Video from the UniFi Protect Web Interface

1. Log in to your UniFi OS Console.
2. Open the Protect application.
3. Select the camera you need.
4. Open the camera’s Timeline.
5. Navigate to the desired time range.
6. Select the export range using the timeline or export controls.
7. Click Download.
8. UniFi Protect exports the footage as an MP4 file.

Export Video from the UniFi Protect Mobile App

1. Open the UniFi Protect app.
2. Select the camera.
3. Open Timeline/History.
4. Navigate to the desired footage.
5. Select the desired time range.
6. Tap Export or the download icon.
7. Save the clip to your phone.

Can I Export UniFi Protect Footage Directly to USB?

UniFi Protect normally manages video exports through the Protect web interface or mobile app rather than through the traditional monitor-and-mouse USB export workflow used by many DVR and NVR systems.
